OK. So we meet each other on facebook etc , I can’t really recall( except for very few) whether I sent you the friendship request or vice versa but the truth is that we are now friends ( maybe for a day, week, month, or longer) and you are reading my notes. Welcome to my world! Feel free, relax and enjoy your stay the best you can.
Now that we are friends I believe we need to tell each other the truth, no matter how bitter it is. This is because truth strengthens every relationship that acknowledges and follows it.
Based on the above I want to ask you an important question: ARE YOU BORN AGAIN? Before you say ‘yes’ I want you to stop and really ponder on the question. I’m not asking if you go to church or were born in a church or if you have born again friends, siblings or parents. If your response is yes then may I ask; ARE YOU LIVING PREPARED? Are your attitudes, character, words and actions reflecting Christ?
Now if your answer is no, this is where I need to ask you: why do you still prefer the cold? Your refusal or delay in giving your life to Christ can be likened to you standing naked on a winter morning in Iceland or Russia – now that could lead to an untimely death within minutes! If you can’t imagine doing that to your body, don’t you know that is what you are doing to your soul- exposing it to extreme weather conditions of life (both now and eternal)?
You see, one of the things that God has promised those who choose him is eternal life. Simply put, this means you live on and on, endlessly. You might have a good job, tush car, great spouse and other good things of life but without this eternal life, you have got nothing. By God’s grace I already have that life running in me and (remember what I said earlier about good friends ?) I strongly desire that you have it too because it means our friendship won’t end here.
Imagine we meet in heaven after Face book or this site and we get to walk on roads tarred with gold and other precious stones, a musical opera comprised mainly of angels with oh-la-la voices. No sickness. No targets and deadlines to meet at the office. No traffic. No fears, worries, anxieties. Just God, angels, you, me and other saints (allow your imagination to soar high into this world!) it feels great, huh? Then you need to choose it if you desire it. It’s simple just say:
Lord Jesus I confess that I am a sinner, have mercy on me and cleanse me by your blood. Come into my life and be my Lord and savior. Fill me with your spirit and grant me the grace to obey you. Thank-you, Lord, for saving me.
Did you just say that prayer? Wow! Welcome to the kingdom! Let me chaperone you round the lovely sites in town.
