A LADY GETS DRESSED

A
lady is mindful of her appearance at all times. She builds her wardrobe on a foundation of well-made clothes that will enhance her overall beauty. She dresses the way she wants to be addressed and to suit the occasion.

She chooses clothes that will not be out of style after a season and will endure repeated cleaning and wear. She knows that her posture is as important as any article of clothing on her back.

She does not wear clothes so revealing that they embarrass and distract others. Because of this, she wears a camisole if her blouse or dress is sheer enough to reveal the details of her underwear or the ‘private’ parts of her body.

She knows whether she has the figure to wear tight clothing. She knows that just because an item of clothing comes in her size does not mean she should wear it. She also does not buy clothes a size too small in hopes that she will one day be able to wear them.

She is careful about the choice of colours and jewelry she wears. She should prefer to have someone looking at her in the eye instead of watching her earrings swing back and forth during an animated conversation. She also chooses to wear clean clothes and underwear.

A lady knows that trends come and go, while true style is timeless. She knows that false congeniality is as obvious as bad false eyelashes.

A LADY AND PURPOSE

source: www.bing.com
A lady understands that there is a purpose for everything in life. She knows deeply that if the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable. She seeks to discover her purpose in life and identify with it.

She knows who she is; her background and her destination. She knows she is not on earth by accident nor as a result of a scientific chemical reaction that occurred in a laboratory. She is thankful for her strengths, skills, abilities and tries to use them to make the world a better place.

She sees life as a privilege, an opportunity to make a difference, to add value, to build, to lift up and to help others whenever necessary. Because of this, she is always on her toes, trying to make every moment and every encounter with her count in eternity.

She views issues from an eternal perspective. Her desire is to leave a legacy for others to emulate. She would not be associated with corruption or other social vices that would ruin her testimony.

A LADY AND TIME

A lady knows that time is one of her most precious and valuable resources. She understands that it is perishable, irreplaceable and cannot be saved. she therefore learns how to manage it well.

She prioritizes her life in order to make herself available to family, friends, career, and other important considerations in her life. She also knows when she is feeling stretched too thin and how to pull back and sort out her priorities.

Because she understands how important time is, a Lady respects other people's time whether at the office or at home. She makes every effort not to be late for meetings, events or appointments. She knows how long it takes for her to get ready and does not keep others waiting. If she is going to be late, she phones ahead.

Though sometimes a lady may arrive late at events, she waits until there is an appropriate pause and then very quietly slips into her seat, or follows the instructions of the ushers.

A LADY AND HER WORDS

source:bing.com
A lady understands that her words go a long way in revealing who she is , her values, socioeconomic status (class), who she has been with and where she is going. Therefore, she thinks before she speaks, choosing her words and tone carefully and wisely.

A lady is sensitive and considerate of the feelings of others. She knows that words are more damaging and more powerful than even nuclear bombs. She refrains from saying or doing things that will make others feel small, inferior or unimportant around her. she does not brag, whine or nag at others. she does not tell jokes that may embarrass other people.

she also knows that 'please', 'thank you', and 'I'm sorry' are still the magic words. She knows how to give a compliment and how to accept a compliment by saying ' thank you'.

A lady sometimes makes mistakes. when this happens, she recognizes her shortcomings and immediately sets out to correct it. When she apologizes, she looks the person in the eye and is direct and to the point. When she apologizes, she means it. If an apology is sincerely offered her, a lady accepts it with good grace. she considers the matter history and moves on.

As much as she can, a lady avoids lies in her words.
