Keys
give access through doors and enable machines and systems to operate. Love is a
machinery divinely built and made available to all men to operate in order to
foster good interpersonal relationships and keep vices out of human communities
while developing harmony, peace, affection, empathy, purity and several other
virtues. The love machinery is lodged within us. Three keys will help to keep
them running in full cycle: think love, speak love, and act love.
THINK
LOVE: This is foundational and
the first area to attend to. If we allow hate, vengeance, envy, deceit, lies,
corrupt tendencies to have a place in our thought life we will repeatedly
falter in love at home and outside. To love is to think good towards others,
ultimately. This thought weighs how to respond to every situation and still
remain within the love parenthesis. It thinks of how to channel love so that it saves and does not destroy; it is not
misinterpreted for lust or selfishness, so that it both covers the wrong and
later disposes it completely. Love is a beautiful thought of how to deliver the
ultimate good.
SPEAK
LOVE: if one has conditioned
the heart to love, it will be first evident in the tone and quality of speech
and it is further reflected, often, in the facial appearance. Even when
offended the language of love still proceeds forth. Are your words encouraging,
reassuring, comforting and wishing others the best? Practice controlling your
tone and facial expression which speaks volumes. Let love flow in your choice
of words and expressions.
ACT
LOVE: Actions that match your
thoughts and speeches complete the love cycle. If the food is cooked and the
aroma pervades everywhere but it is not delivered on the table for action to be
taken on it, too bad, that will certainly be unsatisfying.
Now
take up these keys- think, speak and act love. Keep working through them and
see what wonderful transformation and returns it will bring back to you in time
and eternity!
